Ok, so I was a little boggled as to what to do here, but it is Lindsay's 8th birthday party, so we made it happen!!! It actually was SO late this year becasue we were down in the Valley for so many weekends that this was the first time we had available, and even then it was Friday because General Conference was Saturday and Sunday! What a great weekend!!!
Anyway, we covered wooden geese with gems---that's like crystals, right? And we made my fave and ever popular Borax Crystals---these are failsafe, guys, seriously!!! LOVE them!!!!! Plus it was a great little mini lesson on saturation, very fun! These always come out SO cool and it's so satisfying because they start to grow within minutes if you've done it right! Thanks for all your help Dina, I couldn't have done it without you!!!!
And of course a cake covered in rock candy "crystals"---thanks Nonette and Brookside Chocolate Co., she saves me SO often!!!----and a "crystal Fairy" just cannot be topped, so it was the bomb!!! I think the candy and the ice cream parts were the fave, but it was a blast to make anyway! :)
The presents were, of course, opened with much squeeling and ooooo-s and Ahhhhhs! So fun!!!
