More fromWater Holes

It was so fun to be in such an amazing place! Water Holes Canyon is about 7 miles south of Page Arizona. As you are on the Highway you go over a little bridge with the sign on the side that says Water Holes Canyon. It looks like nothing and all you can see is the top most layer of canyon from the highway--it goes by pretty quickly. BUT, if you walk around tto the jump off point, or the other side where you can hike it----it is 300 feet down! Heavenly Father's works are amazing!

Is this just AMAZING?!?
So we just went , and by we I mean Brandon and me....yes ladies and Gentlemen it is the FIRST time since Jones Babies have entered this world that mom and dad have gone away overnight,(and believe me, if it hadn't been for Mom and Kim being willing to come up, I NEVER would have done it!) anyway, we were part of our ward's youth conference. It was amazing! We held it on a member's Grandma's grazing rights land on the Res. Her grazing rights land just happened to include WaterHoles Canyon, which are the slot canyons you always see in Natoinal Geographic made out of red rock and curving up and around and away. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. We repelled 4 times and hiked and shimmied and jumped and climbed 1000 vertical feet in about 10 yards of distance, it was unbelievable! The intricacy and amaazement we beheld was a once in a lifetime experience for us. It was so beautiful and just, WOW!!!! The theme for the conference was Be Ye Steadfast and Immoveable, it's also the YM/YW theme for this year, you can see how it fits with this amazing canyon made entirely out of this gorgeous red twisting bending but very solid rock. It was breathtaking! Anyway, it was the hardest entire body physical duress I've been in since having a baby, I didn't tell the girls that though. :) But is was so worth it and I was so proud of them and me for being able to finish it! It was so fun to do something so cool with Brandon too! He was behind me the whole way and when I didn't think I could finish it, or that I was going to slip he was always there to help hold me up or push me on. There's a lesson in that! :) It made me appreciate him SOOOOOOOOOOOO much more, and that's saying something because I already appreciate him so much! You get to thinking about what the term eternal companion and help meet mean. Anyway, it was such a beautiful experience and I will never forget it!
