Lake Mary On Our "Snow Day" Make Up

We had NO snow days built into the schedule last year, then we got dumped on several times, once resulting in an entire week of school being cancelled---bottom line, extra school days at the end of the year--BUMMER!!! So this year, the school district added 4 or 5 four day weekends to give ua a buffer. WELL, true to Flagstaff form, we had ZERO snow days this year, it did snow, just over the weekend EVERY time!! After a while it just became comcal as we drove up that trecherous CHerry Hill road to church--I LOVE having a suburban! SO, the district let us keep those four day wekends, kind of silly, I think we should just have been let out of school early. Whatever. ANyway, one such day, Dina was buried in homework, so the boys and we decided to go to the Lake for a picnic and a fun day. It was a BLAST!!!! Note to self for next time: Pack WAY more extra clothes for Rebekah. She fell in after about 20 minuted and it was SOOOOO cold. It was a very good thing I had a bag of clothes in the car for Goodwill, she needd them TWICE--yep, that's how many times she fell in.Pretty comical, but I don't think she laughed until MUCH later. Poor kid! Anyway, it really was so much fun and the kids had such a great time inventing games---being lifegaurds and saving countless lives seemed to be the favorite!! Rebekah was saved a lot---a connection with the dousing???? Hmmmm. :)

Heritage Square Concert!! May 1st

Every year we have attended this concert since we started kids attending Marshall Elementary!!! What a trip!! Hundreds of kids there to show off the fruits of a year's worth of effort and practice. This year we have Lindsay and Jeremy again, same as last year! Lindsay was in the second grade violins and Jeremy was in the first grade violins. It was so great! Brandon was even able to get off work and come down to see, Thanks Sweetie!! The kids all did such a super job, it was awesome!! In the true sense of that word! Then we watched the third grade do all their dances, super fun!! All our second graders were fretting and wondering which one they would learn--too cute! I know darn well they are ALL excited to get to do that too!!! I do also know that Lindsay really will miss playing the violin! Anyone know of a used student violin for sale?? Anyway, Bravo kiddos!!!!
