Heritage Square Concert!! May 1st

Every year we have attended this concert since we started kids attending Marshall Elementary!!! What a trip!! Hundreds of kids there to show off the fruits of a year's worth of effort and practice. This year we have Lindsay and Jeremy again, same as last year! Lindsay was in the second grade violins and Jeremy was in the first grade violins. It was so great! Brandon was even able to get off work and come down to see, Thanks Sweetie!! The kids all did such a super job, it was awesome!! In the true sense of that word! Then we watched the third grade do all their dances, super fun!! All our second graders were fretting and wondering which one they would learn--too cute! I know darn well they are ALL excited to get to do that too!!! I do also know that Lindsay really will miss playing the violin! Anyone know of a used student violin for sale?? Anyway, Bravo kiddos!!!!

Easter Saturday

We celebrate the silly Easter Bunny part of Easter on Saturday, that way we can focus on Christ and His atonement on Sunday. This year was no exception and was so fun---and not even in the snow!!! The Easter Bunny left one giant basket bucket for everyone loaded with lots of fun and the yummiest chocolate eggs we have ever had!! SO fun!!! The Easter egg hunt was epic, some of the funniest pics being the ones where the kids are searching all over bu missing the ones at eye level---wasn't there a conference talk about that, about looking up? Love it!!

On Sunday, we had the most touching Easter yet, in my opinion. The kiddos were all old enough to try to understand what Jesus Christ actually did for us, in the sense that He died and was willing to take our sins upon Himself so we could go back to heaven with Him and Heavenly Father instead of being stuck in the ground and miserable for all eternity as Jeremy said. It was so precious to me to see them all trying to put it together in their own 4 different ways. We had been listening to some of Rob Gardiner's Lamb of God---possibly the most powerfully hopeful music ever heard by me in relation to those last 4 days and after of the Savior's earthly life. Wow!!! Must recommend that to anyone!!

Easter Cookie Creativity!!

Every once in awhile---oh, say, Halloween, Christmas and Easter---we have tons of friends over, bake up a gazillion cookies---literally---and frost and decorate to our creative hearts content! This time was Easter themed!! Appropriate! It was a beautiful day and after the kids put all their focus into their decorating, they had a blast playing outside. SOOOOOO much fun!!!

Rebekah's Royal Repunzel Party

We had quite the too-doo for this party! Rebekah was given princess pillow cases that you could color yourself---VERY popular--- from Gayle and there were enough that all her buddies and our girls got to have one. We made long braids of yarn and put all our handmade flower clips in them and had princess cake and played with toys and it was wonderful!! Happy Birthday, Dear Rebekah!!
