Dinner at Shannon's and the amazing Talent show!!!

We had dinner at Shannon's house, it was so fun, everything was so lovely. The kids watched the Santa Tracker with Google maps, VERY fun, they were concerned about being out too late and him missing them, even though our kids knew he was coming to OUR home. VERY fun!!

After we came back, LET THE FESTIVITIES BEGIN!!!! Tiffany was the MC and was very dry and funny. Each kid and most of the adults participated. We went youngest to oldest. Rebekah was first and sang Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, So cutie cute! Jeremy did the Shrek roar from Shrek 4. HILLARIOUS!!!! If you haven't seen this movie, I do recommend it, it's very good, not like the last 2. There's a part when this silly boy with this gruff voicce says to Shrek," Do the Roar!" and he keeps on pestering Shrek, "Do it!" ...."He's gettin' away Daddy, Do something about it!" and then when Shrek finally does it, he says,"I love you Daddy!" Now, granted, this little shrek boy had no manners, was demanding and invasive of Shrek's space,(which we talked about), but it struck Brandon so funny when Jeremy tried to copy it that it's what he asked Jeremy to do for the talent show and it was fall on the floor funny. Lindsay played Silent Night on the piano. Amazing when you think that she has never had a real lesson. Bethany played O Come All Ye Faithful on her trumpet, amazing when you think that she learned it on her own with no music and played it from memory! Wow! Tiffany and Tamara sang and danced to Jingle Bell Rock and it was AWESOME and completely hysterical! I was amazed! Troy and Tam played a trumpet duet which was amazing and Tyler played his saxophone and several CHristmas songs. I pled a "name that Tune" game on the viola---Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, some Christmas songs and the National Anthem. Silly and fun---I had the music from doing this in the kids' classrooms at school. Allie played Sleigh Ride on the piano, after not touching one for that nearly 6 years!!! Wow, talk about talent! Brandon played Bring a Torch Jeanette, Isabella and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, my favorites, on his euphonium, lush and full and mellow and BEAUTIFUL---I'm so LUCKY!!!!!!!

Anyway, it was so much fun! We had the best time playing games after and watching Chrismas movies. The kids got to bed about midnight and were up at the break of day it seemed, but we just had the most wonderful whirlwind visit and squeezed every ounce of living and sharing out of the time we had. What a wonderful Christmas!!! Love You ALL!!!!! Merry Christmas, God Bless us, Every one!!!

The Park, The Park!!

We took pictures at a park whcih I will share later as I don't have them yet. Then we let the kids play and play before we went to dinner at Shannon's. SO FUN!!!

Oh, there's also the pics of Baga's master shape pancakes Christmas morning! Too fun!!!

Christmas Eve Snow!!

We weren't going to go anywhere for Christmas, but we had an amazing surprise that no one could have expected! For the first time in nearly 6 years, we got to be with Brandon's sister Allison, her husband Brian and their kiddos, Natalie who is barely younger than Lindsay and their son Garrett who is a few months younger than Jeremy. They were unexpectedly able to travel down from Portland, OR for a little visit! SO FUN!!!!It was the least stressful, most fun, no worries, no fighting, no drama time; just pure, wonderful, amazing bliss at being together! I missed Allison SO much! It was so amazing just to have her here laughing and chatting and having so much fun together with me and Tamara and Brandon like she was never gone. It was so nice when Brian flew in too. It was amazing and just so wonderful!!I might say that 100 times before I'm done writing. SO EXCITED!!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WONDERFUL!!!

We brought down 2 ice chests full of snow and the kids all, from the youngest Rebekah at 4 to Troy at 14, had a blast throwing slush balls and then making an Arizona snowman! SO fun, they had the best time!
