So what you have to realize is that my sister, Katie is the master of perfect party planning, she makes me look like the mom who forgets to make the cake and buy the presents. That is saying something because I am a nut when it comes to making a birthday party. Her son wanted a Pirate party and she pulled out all the stops; more than that she re-wrote the book, the coup de gras of Pirate parties---hats, swords, treasure chests and "the Pirate Games". Whoa! I was SO inspired by these games that they have revolutionized my observance of X week forever more in Preschool. We have always done pirates for X week, just because, as we all know, X marks the spot, DESPITE what Indiana Jones says! :)But now, we do the "X Games" in honor of Katie; searching for gold coins in the sandbox, "cannon ball" tossing, treasure map mazes. SO FUN!!!! So here are our cutie pirates for this year!! So fun!! The snow was a nice touch too! :)
