Emerging Triumphant!

YAY SARA AND WILL!!!!!! Yes it was hot and yes we waited patiently---in Rebekah and Jeremy's case, sometimes under the concrete benches! Too Cute. But in the end, there they were, GLOWING! Radiant! Triumphant! JOY beyond measure! I LOVE having my kids see those faces, "THE faces" of those---especially of friends and family we know and love---when they emerge triumphant from The House of the Lord, Sealed for time and eternity, having reached the pinnacle of what we strive to teach our children from the time they are born---that families are forever and the way to make them that way is to be married in the temple and hold to Heavenly Father's teachings.

We live across from what we locals call the tree park. It's great because it is essentially over an acre of more front yard with beautiful, mature trees and the perfect lawn for rocket launching or kite flying and an amazing curving sidewalk for bike riding all year long---sans the snow from time to time. It is also the fave spot for many local weddings. We have seen---and frequently---the grandest and loveliest the world has to offer as far as weddings go, all the way from the simplest vows to the splendor of the proverbial "Father of the Bride" weddings with the tents and the crystal clinking so loudly we can hear it across the street. We love to eaves drop on these events---hey, it's a public park and we have front-across-the-street seats. The kids have truly seen amazing and very beautiful ways of exchanging vows because of this.

SO, my obsession with them seeing the faces of those we love as they come from these precious, holy temples is so that they can see the difference. And there always is one. :) So Bravo Sara and Will! Another chance for my kids to see why we try so hard, why we endure and persevere and keep on trying in the very face of the adversary with his most devious and hurtful attempts to thwart our Father in Heaven's Plan of Happiness---that's what it is you know. The plan of HAPPINESS! Wow!
